Friendly and helpful reception staff who allowed early check-in
Misleading photos on website, room did not match expectations. Extremely small room and bathroom, difficult to navigate.

No on site manager/reception desk, firstly we were offered a room but the smell and bed was very poor, then another room but was so small and had wet mattress and blanket, but they were trying to dry with heater, eventually we got the room we booked very small but reasonably dry and clean. But later that day another couple said they had this room and produced the same key. However they said they want out and was not happy with staff. So eventually we had our room. But because of size we started looking for another hotel. This hotel is too over priced for this small room. And another huge problem is the buildings lift, where you could wait for a long time.

Cheap. That's it.
Room is too small. No Space to turn at all. Not suitable for 2 ppl also. Bed is cool and a bit damp. The whole mansion is infested with Indians , Bangladeshi, negros, Philippinos, and others. Food available also mainly Indian n Bangladesh cuisine. In short, don't stay here.

Not at all
I book a room for family of four. I would expect the bed is ready for four person. I do not mind the place is small. It was totally out of my expectation that a Hotel shown in the website indicate can accommodate for four person but it was only mend for two adult. Sleeping is a big problem for two person a bed.

location (with normal Chungking Mansions limitations!) Clean tiled rooms and public area. Friendly, very helpful staff. On 15th floor, so good for elevator. Very small guest house, so cosy.
Size of room, I asked for a double. I got a 3/4 width bed, with no space on any of the 4 sides of the bed to perform normal functions. Two people could not possibly have stayed in this room. This was not the room I booked, and not the one illustrated. the tv, though modern, did not work, and when adjusted by staff, only sound was available.

At the very center of the city, easy to reach the subway, short distance walk to the Stars avenue and ferry terminal
Althought it's located in a very center of the city it's not easy to find the entrance. The only elevator that can bring you to the 15th level where the hotel is located is very small and always crowded. The ground floor of the building is a street market - it's dirty and an exetremely unpleasant place to be at. Many people of different nationalities offer you unneccesary accessories.

Very tiny room but very clean. Well, 699 HKD is quite nice price for national holiday in HK. Waiter is quite nice, I loved his smile ;)

The rooms are too small, you do not realize that when you see the pictures. The elevator is too crowded because there are a lot of hostels in the same building and the area is really noisy and dirty. The bathroom and the bed are very uncomfortable. It barely fits the luggage (if it is small) and there is not any space for walling in the room. There has to be better options to stay in Hong Kong at the same price.

Clean and comfortable
The lift access to the hotel could be quite annoying as you may need to wait up to 10 minutes to travel up and down the floors.

Very helpful and friendly staff, location is perfect- close to all the necessary places in HK- shopping malls, metro station, star ferry and alley of stars from which a simphony of lights can be seen every night! Very good price.
